A Republican lawmaker and a gubernatorial candidate renewed their call Tuesday for the University of Wisconsin-Madison to fire a part-time instructor who believes the U.S. government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks.

The calls by GOP gubernatorial candidate Mark Green and Rep. Steve Nass of Whitewater came after they learned a UW-Madison academic unit was sponsoring a lecture on Sunday by Kevin Barrett titled “9/11: Folklore and Fact.”

The event is tentatively scheduled from 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday in the Social Sciences Building, Room 6210.

Barrett said the British Broadcasting Corp. is expected to film the lecture as part of a story on those who share the view that U.S. government officials, not terrorists, were behind the attacks.

Former Minnesota Governor, actor and wrestling star Jesse Ventura has publicly questioned the official version of events behind 9/11 and gone further than ever before in citing Operation Northwoods and the Gulf of Tonkin as examples of how the government has planned and carried out staged war provocations in the past.

Ventura has temporarily left his Baja Mexico surfing lifestyle to lend support to Texas gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman. At a press conference yesterday Ventura said that the Republicans and Democrats were “destroying our country” and its political process. Sporting a beard and dreadlocks, the former Vietnam veteran also criticized the Iraq war.

Alex Jones and his film crew were able to set up a last minute interview with Ventura at a San Antonio restaurant after his appearance before a packed house at the University of Texas.

Ventura first stated that he had many unanswered questions about 9/11. The former Governor cited Operation Northwoods, a 1963 Joint Chiefs of Staff plan to stage terror attacks and kill American citizens to start a war with Cuba, as an example of how the U.S. government wanted to kill its own people and blame it on foreign enemies to justify war. Ventura found it painful, having dutifully served himself, that elements within the government would go to such barbaric and deceitful lengths to con its own populace into supporting militarism.

Alex Jones was joined on air yesterday by a former Sergeant in the United States Army named Lauro “LJ” Chavez. Chavez was stationed at MacDill AFB where he claims he witnessed unusual preparations for a potential airplane hitting the base on the morning of 9/11 and distinctly heard officers talking about a stand down. This has led him to go public in questioning the NORAD stand down and the demolition of the twin towers.

In a letter that first appeared on the 9/11 Veterans For Truth Website, Sergeant Lauro “LJ” Chavez responds to a Cincinnati Post hit piece article by outlining his own doubts about the official version of 9/11 and his personal experiences of the strange prelude to the events of that morning.

Despite early (and healthy) reactions claiming this may be a hoax designed to poison the well of the 9/11 truth movement, Sergeant Chavez has now provided us with evidence of his credentials, his honorable discharge documents showing the military installations he was located inside. When examining almost any aspect of 9/11, there is strong evidence to support the alternative theory that 9/11 was a false-flag attack committed by elements within the U.S. Government and Military.  The controlled demolition of the Twin Towers and WTC 7 is perhaps the strongest argument with the best scientific evidence since all three buildings collapsed at near freefall speed, leaving behind pools of an orange hot material (aka “molten metal”).  The degree of pulverization of the concrete in the Twin Towers creating the pyroclastic dust cloud has proven to be nearly impossible to explain with a legitimate building collapse.

The problem with discussing this evidence is that these are scientific arguments that can only be fully understood by experts in the necessary fields.  Though my science background is limited, common sense tells me that these scientific arguments are legitimate criticisms of the official theory of the collapse of the three buildings.

Supporters of the official theory have attempted to debunk the scientific evidence supporting the alternative theory (aka, the conspiracy theories), but the argument I present here cannot be debunked.  The argument I present in this paper is not a scientific argument, does not require any special knowledge, and can be understood by any rational person.  This argument definitely proves that 9/11 was an inside job and no other rational interpretation of these events presented could lead to any other conclusion.

Who are the Heroes of the 9/11 Truth Movement?

Is it Jim Fetzer, Steve Jones, David Ray Griffin, Kevin Barrett, Bob Bowman, Morgan Reynolds, Webster Tarpley, and the rest of the all-star cast of Scholars for 9/11 Truth? These folks have certainly been doing great work and getting the word out.

Is it Dylan Avery and the rest of the Loose Change crew? They have indeed made a movie which has been seen by millions on the Internet already, and are doing incredible interviews for their new edition.

Is it Alex Jones, Mike Rivero, or the handful of people who have run thoughtful and informative websites for years? They have without doubt acted as elders to us, teaching us about false flag operations (and in AJ’s case, getting incredible interviews and making hard-hitting documentaries). <!–more–>

Is it the well-known web researchers who have turned over every stone to find the basic facts contradicting the official story of 9/11? These talented men and women have been unbelievably persistent, dedicated, hard-working and smart in their efforts, and the rest of the movement stands on their shoulders.

Certainly, these folks are all heroes in my book (along with other well-known heroes who — for the sake of brevity alone — are not mentioned by name).

But on-the-ground and web activists are also incredible people. Not only do the activists move the ball forward by leaps and bounds, spreading 9/11 truth virally and into every segment of the country, but they are also an INSPIRATION to the people in the limelight mentioned above. Don’t believe me? Ask them yourselves.

More than 60 state lawmakers are urging the University of Wisconsin-Madison to fire an instructor who has argued that the U.S. government orchestrated the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

A letter sent Thursday and signed by 52 Assembly representatives and nine state senators condemns a decision to let Kevin Barrett teach an introductory class on Islam this fall.

UW-Madison Provost Pat Farrell launched a review after Barrett spoke last month on a talk show about his views that the terrorist attacks were the result of a government conspiracy to spark war in the Middle East. After the review, Farrell said Barrett was a qualified instructor who can present his views as one perspective on the attacks.

“I still have every expectation this will be a very positive educational experience for our students,” Farrell said Thursday. “Some are upset about Mr. Barrett’s viewpoints on 9/11 and don’t want to pay much attention to what makes for a quality educational experience.”

For years, I’ve heard that Rumsfeld announced — the day before 9/11 —
that 2.3 Trillion Dollars was missing from the Department of Defense.

It wasn’t one time, it wasn’t two times, it was many, many times,” Karen Fitzpatrick, who has been monitoring elections for US Rep. McKinney’s re-election campaign, told Atlanta Progressive News in an exclusive interview.

Let me repeat: The McKinney Campaign says they have documented complaints of voters here in Georgia whose votes FLIPPED BEFORE THEIR VERY EYES on Diebold machines.

“It started early this morning. There were well over 25 to 30 calls that came in [to the campaign office]. Many of them went to the poll manager [after this happened]. In some cases, the poll managers said there’s nothing we can do. In some cases the voter left frustrated as if their vote had been compromised, as if it had been stolen,” Fitzpatrick said.

“I’m the one who tells the truth. On what George Bush knew about 9/11. I put my body against the war machine, against the wheels and the levers of the machine. And I said you’ve got to stop it.”

“We believe in the power of the people over special interests every time. I have a strong and uncompromising position against the war machine. It is outrageous [US Secretary of Defense] Rumsfeld can go before Congress and say $2,500,000,000,000 [2.5 trillion dollars] was lost and our children are suffering.”

I’ve been accused — along with all others who question the official
9/11 story — as being “America Haters” or “Anti-American”. Is it true?
Is it unAmerican to question the story that 19 hijackers outsmarted the
American military and made fools of the world’s top building engineers?

Well,
that depends. Specifically, it depends on what being American means. If
being American means upholding the Constitution, believing in our
democratic republic, and striving to meet the ideals of our founding
fathers, then those who question the official story are some of the
most patriotic Americans around. Everyone I know in the 9/11 truth
movement loves liberty, freedom and justice, respects the Constitution,
and values truth.

On the other hand, if being American means going to war under false pretenses, and murdering innocent American civilians as part of a “false flag terror” campaign to whip up hatred of an enemy, then no — we don’t want any part of that.

Please stop for one minute and reflect on the following question: Who are the true patriots:

Those
who murder innocent Americans and falsely blame it on others and who
intentionally twist intelligence in order to deceive the people into

Public officials who “cleared the air” in lower Manhattan after 9/11 - assuring New Yorkers that the air was not toxic - should be hauled into court and prosecuted, a New Jersey congressman charged yesterday.

“We know from all the records that [the Environmental Protection Agency] kept on telling us, members of Congress, that everything was just wonderful, yet we now understand what our first responders are going through,” said Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. (D-N.J).

“We are here five years later and we still have held no one accountable as to what the response was and what happened in terms of that tragedy,” he said. “This is not acceptable and somebody has to pay the price.”

Steve Nass to debate him on the subject. “It is time to stop the name-calling and threats, and get down to a serious, scholarly debate,” Barrett said, adding “If Rep. Nass successfully refutes my arguments, I promise to withdraw them, and issue a public apology to Vice President Cheney and others I have named as 9/11 suspects.”

Nass has stated that “Kevin Barrett has been unable to provide any scholarly basis for his conspiracy theory on 9/11 or even a minimal level of evidence that might circumstantially support his views.” In fact, Barrett is the author of a scholarly essay, to be published in September in a book he co-edited alongside fellow academics John Cobb and Sandra Lubarsky, that includes a wealth of citations to scholarly articles and other evidence that supports his views. (Cobb, whose views of 9/11 are not far from Barrett’s, is regarded by many as America’s leading Christian theologian, and Lubarsky is a respected Jewish Studies professor.) Barrett is also a member of Scholars for 9/11 Truth (http://st911.org) and Society for Physical Investigation of 9/11 or SPINE (http://911physics.net). Both groups have posted at their websites many scholarly articles that support Barrett’s views. Together, the two groups include many dozens of professors affiliated with dozens of universities and colleges, none of which has even considered firing or disciplining any one of them for their 9/11 revisionist views.

A part-time University of Wisconsin instructor who believes U.S. government officials orchestrated the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks will be allowed to teach a course on Islam, the school announced Monday.

UW-Madison Provost Patrick Farrell said Kevin Barrett can present his view as one of many perspectives on the event when he teaches the introductory course as scheduled this fall.

Some state politicians had called for the university to fire Barrett after he spoke about his theories on a radio talk show last month.

Farrell rejected those calls, saying “We cannot allow political pressure from critics of unpopular ideas to inhibit the free exchange of ideas.”

Anyone interested in the truth of 9/11 should check out this clip from the Hannity and Colmes show, where they’re interviewing Professor Kevin Barrett. He’s a professor at the University of Wisconsin and has come under fire recently for bringing up other theories about 9/11 to his students, something the government clearly doesn’t want.

The interview itself is pretty funny…Fox news tripping over itself trying to pin this guy down and accuse him of things, while he just tells it like it is.
