How many Bush Administration people does it take to change a light bulb??

Filed under: Humor

Answer: TEN.

1. One to deny that a light bulb needs to be changed;

2. One to attack the patriotism of anyone who says the light bulb
needs to be changed;

3. One to blame Clinton for burning out the light bulb;

4. One to tell the nations of the world that they are either for
changing the light bulb or for eternal darkness;

5. One to give a billion dollar no-bid contract to Halliburton for a
new light bulb;

6. One to arrange a photograph of Bush, dressed as a janitor, standing on a step ladder under the banner “Bulb Accomplished”;

7. One administration insider to resign and in detail reveal how Bush was literally “in the dark” the whole time;

8. One to viciously smear #7;

9. One surrogate to campaign on TV and at rallies on how George Bush has had a strong light bulb-changing policy all along;

10. And finally, one to confuse Americans about the difference between screwing a light bulb and screwing the country.

And, after all is said and done, no one will be able to do anything
about the fact that they never even actually managed to change the light bulb.

Nass renew call to UW to fire 9/11 conspiracy professor

Filed under: 9/11 | Cover-Ups

Associated Press | The Capital Times | Madison.com
A Republican lawmaker and a gubernatorial candidate renewed their call Tuesday for the University of Wisconsin-Madison to fire a part-time instructor who believes the U.S. government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks.

The calls by GOP gubernatorial candidate Mark Green and Rep. Steve Nass of Whitewater came after they learned a UW-Madison academic unit was sponsoring a lecture on Sunday by Kevin Barrett titled “9/11: Folklore and Fact.”

The event is tentatively scheduled from 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday in the Social Sciences Building, Room 6210.

Barrett said the British Broadcasting Corp. is expected to film the lecture as part of a story on those who share the view that U.S. government officials, not terrorists, were behind the attacks.

1 of 56 million

Filed under: Humor

President Bush, First Lady Laura and Dick Cheney were flying on Air Force One. George looked at Laura, chuckled and said, “You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy.”

Laura shrugged her shoulders and replied, “I could throw ten $100 bills out of the window and make ten people very happy.”

Cheney added, “That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills out of the window and make a hundred people very happy.”

Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his co-pilot, “Such big-shots back there. Shit, I could throw all of them out of the window and make 56 million people very happy.”

Wal-Mart’s Costs to Taxpayers

Filed under: Economy | Current Events | Videos

Wal-Mart’s low prices don’t come cheap. In fact, each Wal-Mart store employing 200 people costs taxpayers approximately $420,750 annually in public social services used by Wal-Mart workers whose low wages and unaffordable health insurance mean most of them are among the working poor. That’s the finding of Everyday Low Wages: The Hidden Price We All Pay for Wal-Mart, a report by the minority staff of the U.S. House of Representatives Education and the Workforce Committee.

Former Congressional Candidate could get 2 - 4 years for ripping down a Mexican Flag.

Filed under: Big Brother | Immigration

The Rhea County woman who ran against Congressman Zach Wamp last week has been arrested and charged with a felony. An incident report from the Dayton Police Department says June Griffin went into a Mexican market in downtown Dayton, shouted at the guy behind the counter and ripped down the Mexican flag.

Police arrested 67 year old Griffin. She was picked up after a Rhea County grand jury indicted her on charges of civil rights intimidation, harassment, theft of property and vandalism. Griffin told us she couldn’t meet for an interview today because she was picking up campaign signs in Polk County but she did comment on Talk Radio this morning.

Griffin told them “It’s an insult to my citizenship. I have no respect for anybody who comes in forcing us. You go anywhere and you hear this Spanish, nobody can understand, talk about the tower of Babel.” Civil rights violation is a felony charge. If convicted, Griffin could get 2 to 4 years in jail for that charge alone.

Former Governor Jesse Ventura Questions Official 9/11 Story

Filed under: 9/11 | Cover-Ups

Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones | Prison Planet.com
Former Minnesota Governor, actor and wrestling star Jesse Ventura has publicly questioned the official version of events behind 9/11 and gone further than ever before in citing Operation Northwoods and the Gulf of Tonkin as examples of how the government has planned and carried out staged war provocations in the past.

Ventura has temporarily left his Baja Mexico surfing lifestyle to lend support to Texas gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman. At a press conference yesterday Ventura said that the Republicans and Democrats were “destroying our country” and its political process. Sporting a beard and dreadlocks, the former Vietnam veteran also criticized the Iraq war.

Alex Jones and his film crew were able to set up a last minute interview with Ventura at a San Antonio restaurant after his appearance before a packed house at the University of Texas.

Ventura first stated that he had many unanswered questions about 9/11. The former Governor cited Operation Northwoods, a 1963 Joint Chiefs of Staff plan to stage terror attacks and kill American citizens to start a war with Cuba, as an example of how the U.S. government wanted to kill its own people and blame it on foreign enemies to justify war. Ventura found it painful, having dutifully served himself, that elements within the government would go to such barbaric and deceitful lengths to con its own populace into supporting militarism.

CENTCOM Sergeant Details Traitorous Stand Down Orders On 9/11

Filed under: 9/11 | Cover-Ups

Steve Watson | Infowars
Alex Jones was joined on air yesterday by a former Sergeant in the United States Army named Lauro “LJ” Chavez. Chavez was stationed at MacDill AFB where he claims he witnessed unusual preparations for a potential airplane hitting the base on the morning of 9/11 and distinctly heard officers talking about a stand down. This has led him to go public in questioning the NORAD stand down and the demolition of the twin towers.

In a letter that first appeared on the 9/11 Veterans For Truth Website, Sergeant Lauro “LJ” Chavez responds to a Cincinnati Post hit piece article by outlining his own doubts about the official version of 9/11 and his personal experiences of the strange prelude to the events of that morning.

Despite early (and healthy) reactions claiming this may be a hoax designed to poison the well of the 9/11 truth movement, Sergeant Chavez has now provided us with evidence of his credentials, his honorable discharge documents showing the military installations he was located inside. The last station he held was inside United States Central Command in Tampa - the pdf can be viewed here.

Mr chavez was quick to point out that he does not have all the answers, but does have what he feels is vital information regarding the events of 9/11:

Why The American Media Sucks: In Four Simple Pictures

BSAlertCan it be so easily demonstrated why the American media has completely turned its back on journalism? Check it out… Here is the current cover of Newsweek across various areas of the world.

Annie Leibovitz is tired and nursing a cold, and she’ s just flown back to New York on the red-eye from Los Angeles, where she spent two days shooting Angelina Jolie for Vogue….

I guess there are no other magazines available to feature stuff like art, photography, pop issues or families and children. Newsweek has to push Afghanistan off the cover in the states to feature this.

Meanwhile the foreign issues note, Five years after the Afghan invasion, the Taliban are fighting back hard, carving out a sanctuary where they—and Al Qaeda’s leaders—can operate freely.

I guess Newsweek figures what you don’t know can’t hurt you. Just shut up and look at the pretty pictures of Angelina’s baby.

Google Caught In TerrorStorm Censorship

Paul Joseph Watson

Google is again embroiled in a censorship farce after its Google Video sub-division was caught altering viewing statistics for Alex Jones’ Terror Storm documentary, resetting runaway growth curbs to prevent the video making the website’s top ten and its online viewership exploding exponentially.

Following last week’s buzz about Terror Storm being available for viewing free on Google Video, numerous websites linked to our promo page and as a result viewing figures for all versions of Terror Storm at Google Video began to climb rapidly.

However, upon checking the same viewer figures on Sunday, Alex Jones noticed that many had been reset to zero and had only begun to climb into the hundreds and early thousands, nowhere near their previous levels of tens and hundreds of thousands for the previous days. The trends had been artificially reversed and this prevented Terror Storm from entering the top ten list of Google Video which would have ensured an explosion of further circulation of the video.

A search referred to in subsection (a) is a search by a full-time teacher or school official, acting on any reasonable suspicion based on professional experience and judgment, of any minor student on the grounds of any public school, if the search is conducted to ensure that classrooms, school buildings, school property and students remain free from the threat of all weapons, dangerous materials, or illegal narcotics. The measures used to conduct any search must be reasonably related to the search’s objectives, without being excessively intrusive in light of the student’s age, sex, and the nature of the offense.

Spy Agencies Say Iraq War Fuels Terror

LA TIMES
WASHINGTON — The war in Iraq has made global terrorism worse by fanning Islamic radicalism and providing a training ground for lethal methods that are increasingly being exported to other countries, according to a sweeping assessment by U.S. intelligence agencies.

The classified document, which represents a consensus view of all 16 U.S. intelligence agencies, paints a considerably bleaker picture of the impact of the Iraq war than Bush administration or U.S. intelligence officials have acknowledged publicly, according to officials familiar with the assessment.

Norman Mineta’s Testimony Proves 9/11 Was an Inside Job

Filed under: 9/11 | Cover-Ups

Truth911.net
When examining almost any aspect of 9/11, there is strong evidence to support the alternative theory that 9/11 was a false-flag attack committed by elements within the U.S. Government and Military.  The controlled demolition of the Twin Towers and WTC 7 is perhaps the strongest argument with the best scientific evidence since all three buildings collapsed at near freefall speed, leaving behind pools of an orange hot material (aka “molten metal”).  The degree of pulverization of the concrete in the Twin Towers creating the pyroclastic dust cloud has proven to be nearly impossible to explain with a legitimate building collapse.

The problem with discussing this evidence is that these are scientific arguments that can only be fully understood by experts in the necessary fields.  Though my science background is limited, common sense tells me that these scientific arguments are legitimate criticisms of the official theory of the collapse of the three buildings.

Supporters of the official theory have attempted to debunk the scientific evidence supporting the alternative theory (aka, the conspiracy theories), but the argument I present here cannot be debunked.  The argument I present in this paper is not a scientific argument, does not require any special knowledge, and can be understood by any rational person.  This argument definitely proves that 9/11 was an inside job and no other rational interpretation of these events presented could lead to any other conclusion.

School Drug Testing Sounds Like Witch Hunt

NORML | St. Petersburg Times
FLORIDA–It is time for the Hernando County School Board to refocus superintendent Wendy Tellone’s curious fixation on testing students for drugs.

In the past two years Tellone and her staff have brought three proposals to the board that would randomly select certain groups of students to submit urine samples, which then are tested for a variety of drugs, including alcohol. After initially opposing the recommendation because it is fundamentally unfair and oppressive, the board eventually authorized the administration to pursue a $418,000 federal grant that would pay for a drug counselor to oversee the program.

At first, Tellone wanted to test all high school and middle school students who participated in any extracurricular activity or drove a motor vehicle on campus. Now she has cast a slightly smaller net in her exploitative fishing expedition: All high school students who are athletes, cheerleaders or drive on campus.

Panelist Say 40-Year Term Harsh For Girl, 16

Filed under: Drug Trade

NORML
TEXAS - Area educators, health-care professionals and lawyers gathered Saturday to discuss a decision by the county attorney’s office to seek a tougher punishment for a 16-year-old El Paso girl accused of trying to smuggle cocaine into the U.S.

“Our correctional system is so imperfect,” said Cristina Cruz-Grost, a child psychiatrist and forensic expert.  “We need to come together to educate and rehabilitate people who go through the system.   To place a 16-year-old in the correctional department of Texas with up to a 40-year sentence erases the potential for rehabilitation and destroys her life.”

Venezuela’s Chavez says Bush planned 9/11 attacks

Filed under: Videos | Mainstream Media

HUGO CHAVEZ, VENEZUELAN PRES. (through translator): The hypothesis that is gaining strength, which was said on television last night, and which could soon blow up, was that it was the same U.S. imperial power that planned and carried out this terrible terrorist attack, or act, against its own people and against citizens all over the world. Why? To justify the aggression that was immediately unleashed on Afghanistan, on Iraq and the threats against all of us, against Venezuela, too.
